Animal Telepathy?

Animal telepathy?

Is there telepathy? And animal telepathy? Most of the scientific community does not accept the existence of telepathy as an objective fact. Despite the fact that NASA and countless research centers around the world have carried out experiments in this regard, the official conclusion so far is that thoughts cannot be transmitted without using a physical medium.

A University of Cambridge biologist Rupert Sheldrake, contrary to the opinion of experts, has been given the task of conducting telepathy experiments on animals. He is convinced that telepathy exists and that this reality can be verified by a simple observation of animal behavior.

Sheldrake’s Findings

Rupert Sheldrake has been doing research on animal telepathy for fifteen years, especially with pets. It ensures that 50% of dogs, for example, know in advance when their owners are going to return home. In fact, he showed evidence of this behavior in some videos that he circulated, but which were removed from the network without explanation.

Sheldrake points out that dogs develop a special emotional bond with some people, whether they are their owners or not, and that this allows them to perceive their closeness long before they are present. According to their research, up to 30% of cats also have this ability.

In his research he found that in 64 cases, out of 65, cats disappear an hour before a vet appointment. It is as if they knew beforehand that they should go to the doctor and they ran away to avoid that nuisance. However, these data are not part of a formal study that can be fully verified.

Professor Sheldrake also argues that it is very easy to observe how dogs seem especially gifted at perceiving the inner world of people. That would be the reason why they feel instant sympathy or dislike for certain people; they seem to know each other’s hidden intentions and act accordingly.

Is it animal telepathy or refinement in communication?

Sheldrake’s experiments on animal telepathy have not been sufficiently documented. Faced with the supposed telepathic ability to perceive their owners before they are present, there may be other explanations. This behavior may be due to a highly developed smell or other sense. Also due to the custom factor, which indicates the more or less exact time when their owners arrive or leave.

On the other hand, animals are capable of identifying the gestures or routines that precede a certain action. Humans have many mechanical behaviors and we don’t notice them. For example, without realizing it, we may preferentially use a certain garment to go to the doctor. Pets may perceive this and can predict what follows.

Something similar could happen with the supposed sudden sympathy or antipathy. If someone approaches with the purpose of doing harm, they will be more tense and probably have a higher level of adrenaline. The animal can pick up on this as a signal of its intentions and then prepare for defense.

Affective communication can also become so close that simple gestures are enough for the pet to “guess” the emotional state of its owner or vice versa.

Even so, testimonies continue to appear about this alleged telepathic communication between humans and animals. Enough not to close the issue with radical skepticism, but rather giving rise to the question and new research.
