How many times have you felt depressed because things are not going as expected, because lately it seems that the world is going against you or because you feel that you move a finger and everything goes wrong? So you ask yourself, where do I get my strength ? We have all experienced those  feelings of failure, of defeat, of not finding meaning in our lives on many occasions.

The important thing, deep down, is not that we feel them but what we do with them, the laziness and heaviness they produce in us. Thus, how can we better manage these negative emotions, based or not on real events?

It is not an easy task and to help you we share 11 ideas that can help you:

1. Focus on the positives in your life. You sure have good things and are clouded by negativity. A good way to do this is by writing a list of all the positives in your life. When you feel bad, take out and read your personal list. In the end life is not how it is, but how you feel it.

2. There is no harm that a hundred years last. If something bad is happening to you, don’t stop thinking that nothing is eternal; neither happiness, nor sadness, nor misfortune. Our personal history is shaped by pieces of a thousand colors, this is life.

3. Tomorrow will be another day. When you have one of those disastrous days, think: “tomorrow will be another day.” That will soothe you deeply.

4. Recognizing mistakes and rectifying them is wise. If you have screwed up in your work, with your partner, with a friend, instead of thinking about it a thousand times, ask for forgiveness and give a hug, as simple as that and problem solved.

5. Surround yourself with people who bring you positive things. It is proven that people who surround themselves with positive people see everything differently. Talk about your problems; sometimes a friend who relativizes the problem with you and makes you laugh is enough for the problem to be solved.
